I saw this on my feed today - CNN is now streaming live online and Dish Network subscribers can login to watch the stream:

Works on iPhone. On PC, it wants me to log in to my Dish account. Not sure I want to give that info to CNN & whoever hacks them next.

If it works the same as HBOGo, EPIX, or SPEED2, your account authentication doesn't take place on the site. Either a new window or frame loads up a DishNetwork.com page, you log in and DISH authenticates and then passes the "ok" to CNN's video page. There's really nothing to worry about.
