Just got a call from one of the 942 support guys. I didn't even have to call them. He was responding to something I'd posted either here or the "other" list.

Anyway, these recent threads about recent problems in conjunction with the 280 download has apparently (to quote him) "got the attention of the VP". According to him they are aggressivly trying to address these issues as soon as possible.

He is sending me what he called a "USB Key" which I am to plug into the USB port, let the receiver will dump the "log" info to it and then I mail it back.

I realize talk's cheap but this guy gave me a sense that Dish is really committed to getting these issues fixed.

Being a retailer I was pissed when 280 screwed up my 942. I fired of a email to the VP requesting that he run down to engineering and strangle someone. Must have done it.

Yes I understand Dan Minnick the VP of software is getting a lot of flack about L280. Lets not give flack, lets just get things fixed.

And yes Dish is watching.

This is advantage of Dish Network being allowed in the forums so that they can read about the issues and get them resolved. I remember when someone at Dish Network came in and answered people's questions but she is no longer with Dish Network.

I wish they would watch the 721 theads, then maybe we could get some bugs fixed.

No, those cheerleaders were an embarassment to everybody.
Frankly, so was the whole show.
I don't know how to spell professionalism, but neither do they. ;)

Let's get 'em to focus on reading the 508 bitch-threads. ;)

My box has quit working twice in the past two weeks (Why do I turn it off, so STUPID...) so I still haven't even seen the chat or the cheerleaders...
