Hello,
I am having a dvr 622 installed for two tvs in different rooms. Would it possible to complete the installation on existing coaxial cable ( only one exist ). As an example
combine the output from dish using a combiner and diplex the coaxial output (tv2) on to the same run? If not are there any other options to avoid drilling holes to run a new cable for 622 installation? I attached an image with my intent in drawing. Any help is truely appreciated. Thanks.

One coax cable will do if it's RG6 rated to at least 2150 Mhz (most are). If it's RG59, it will need to be replaced. BTW, a splitter is not used with satellite signals, that's called a DP Separator.

Is this standard install?

Does anyone know if separators and diplexers are a part of dish network standard install? If not how much would I pay for the installation? Thanks.

Depends on the installer probably - mine didn't charge me extra to do exactly that. In fact I have one coax bringing in the two sat lines to a 625 and the line back out to another room.

When I saw how handy diplexers are I bought 10 on Ebay...

most installers will do that as a standard install... It is generally much easier for us just to throw a couple diplexers on it and call it done, then to have to run a second line to the receiver.
