I'm currently a Dish customer. I have a 411 running on a living room TV and a two tuner 622 (TV1 HD, TV2 SD) on an LCD in another room with TV2 being my SD bedroom set. Does DirecTV offer such a setup? Do they even have a two tuner HD receiver or do you have to have 3 receivers for 3 TV's?

Also, I get all of the HD channels that Dish offers (minus the premiums like HBO). How does DirecTV stack up as far as channel lineup?

Better on sports, fewer premiums (which you dont get anyway).

HD PQ seems to be a little better on D*, equipment a little fast on E*.

Most everything else is the same.

D* does have two tuner DVRs, but no tv 2 output. All outputs are active, so you can run a second tv off of it, but you cant watch two things at the same time, both would be watching the same thing.

To some that is a big deal. To others it is not. For me, I have no SD sets left, so tv2 output would do nothing for me in SD. I see you have a SD set in the bedroom. It probably means more to you. You shouldnt have much of a problem getting another SD reciever for free though
