Dish 942 External USB Storage?

Last night during the Tech Chat, it was mentioned that E* is currently beta testing external USB storage devices...the type that could be "purchased at any Best Buy", Circuit city, etc. I current lease a 942 and I have been wanting to purchase an addition 942 for additional storage needs and ease of use (replace one of my leased 811s).

After last nights tech chat, I no longer have any desire to purchase a 942 - I'll wait for the 962. However, I am very interested in finding out more these USB storage devices (supported device list, expected release dates, etc.). Please post if you can...

I think that were possabley about a year away from any mpg 4 dvr coming out... expecally with all the mpg 4 no encoder talk..
