Dish 942 And HDMI Switch Problems

I connected my Dish 942 to a HDMI switch and it is passing video but not audio. The video and audio are working when hooked up directly to display bypassing the switch. The switch has been tested and eliminated as the source of the problem. I'm guessing the 942 is the source of the problem. I'm swapping for the 622 in April hoping this will end the problem.

What kind of switch did you use? I just spent big bucks on a Gefen switch yesterday, hope it works.

Octava 3X1. I already have a 15m run to display and when I added switch I used another 6 feet of HDMI cable. I'm wondering if the extra 6 feet is causing the dropout of audio.

I ordered the Gefen 4x2 from ValueElectronics.I'm trying to get audio out the HDMI and 5.1DD out the digital coax. They were nice to deal with as he done a 3 way call to Gefen with me to try and get the correct switch. I just hope the 942 and 622vip puts out 5.1DD out the HDMI.
