Is my Dish 6000 usable as an existing receiver trade-in for the April 2006 $200.00 lease rebate offer for the VIP-622?

It looks right now like a $25.00 value?

It looks right now like a $25.00 value? Maybe its worth the $200 in April?

According to the tech chat it is like for like. In order to get the $200 rebate, you must have either a 921 or 942 owned or leased. You are eligible for the $49 211 upgrade with the 6000.

6000 to 622 will cost you $299

they'll also give you $25 if the 6000 you're giving them is owned by you.

Sell your 6000 on ebay, they go for good $$ and use the money to get the 299 lease and have some $$ left in your pocket.

I still think the $200.00 Rebate does apply to the 18 Month lease agreement in April, regardless of what HD receiver you trade for the VIP 622.

That's not what has been said at the Tech Chat and last month's Charlie Chat. The $200 rebate is for 921 or 942 users ONLY! Take the previous poster's advise and sell the 6000 on eBay. You will likely get more than the $200 rebate from the sale of the 6000 anyway.

You're better off selling the 6000 receiver on eBay as several other posters have stated. It makes no sense for E* to trade up a HD receiver for a HD DVR receiver for a $200 rebate.
