dish 500 signal strength info

im wondering what the signal strength should be' mine says anywhere from 40 to 52 signal strength i wanna get the signal higher if possible i moved my friends dish tonite just messin around and i made the signal jump to 70 + i been thinkin about doing that to mine or is that a bad idea? any input is appreciated

i have no clue im new to all this we had it installed about 4 months ago and i know i have the dvr and all thats about all i know lol' the one i worked on tonite was a new hd one
