I was setting up a Dish 500 with a 211 rcvr for my RV and intended to hit 110 for my networks in HD and 119 for whatever else I might want in SD when it finally locked in on 119, and 129. The 500 had just come off the roof of the house and the settings were unchanged. I finally got it to turned enough to lock in on 110. In the past I traveled with just a dish 300 for 119. I got it out and hit 110 pretty quick. I had been told by the installer that did my upgrade to HD that it would not even work with the 211k due to the old lnb, but it did.
I noticed that the signal meter I have been using seemed to be much harder to work with using the Dish 500 and the 211k. Kind of a all or nothing. I there an easier way to set one of these up? I could use the built in meter on the old 3900 with no problem. With the 211k, it seemed to take forever for signal strength to show up. (yes, i did the check switch so it would stop thinking it had 3 lnb's feeding it)
