Guys, I had a technician come out a while back and he replaced my Dish 500 and Dish 1000 satellite dishes with a new dish. However, he left the Dish 500 and Dish 1000 dishes for me to keep. He left the LNB for the 500 but not the 1000.

My question is, if I wanted to use the Dish 1000 (or the Dish 500) for tailgating, what would I need to do in order to get them to work? Currently, my programming is all on the 72 and 61.5 satellites. Can the Dish 1000 or 500 even pick up those satellites?

The dish 1000 should also work for 61.5/72.7 seeing it is designed for 110/119/129. You don't list what receivers you have but seeing you have Eastern Arc they should all be HD. Get a tripod or whatever you plan on using to support the dish and start practicing.

You posted while I was typing and that changes the answer. If you only have a single LNB left for the dish 500 you should probably look to buy a DISH 1000.4 complete setup so it is the same as your house setup.

I was wrong. It is actually a dual LNB (opened it up and it shows two coax connectors) on the Dish 500.

I have all HD receivers.

How do I know if the dish itself is setup correctly (azimuth, elevation) to get 61.5 and 72 for the zip code I am in? Which is 39047 by the way.

It only has a ONE LNB on it.

Mag Azimuth = 141.59
Elevation = 44.49
Skew = 66.8

From satcalculator.net

It does not matter how many outputs the lnb has, how many "eyes" does it have?

It must have two "eyes" for it to see two satellites.

Hulu no longer for sale.
