Dish 500 Alignment

Greetings,


I am trying to maximize my signal on 119, 110. The best I can get is around 40, I used to have 75-110 after I re-aligned the disk. I used a compass tor the A setting, and set it to 212 E=42, S=118 , pole is true 0n all sides. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong? Thanks....

If you've already got signal, don't use a compass to make changes. You are close, so you should use the Dish Point screen and adjust first the azimuth until signal is maximized. Tighten the azimuth bolts then adjust the elevation for max signal on the Dish Point screen. Lock the elevation.

If you can't hear the tone from the location of your dish have someone watch on a walkie-talkie or cell phone tell you when the signal is best.

Repeat this proceedure a couple of times to get the best setting.
