Hello all,

I'm trying to install my dish setup and having problems. I've got a dish500 dish and a Dish322 receiver. On the dish, there is an ouput for 110 and 119. How do I set up this receiver to alow me to view programming in 2 rooms? Do I run the dual coaxial line from the LNB on the satellite dish to a grounding block in the house? and if so, then what? I haven't been able to find a wiring schematic to see what I am supposed to do. Basicly what I am looking for are installation instructions.

Currently, I can get the receiver to find signal strength but I can't get anything on the screen. It wants to get updates but nothing gets better.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks

Did anybody peak the dish? Did you run a check switch on the 322? What kind of LNB does your dish 500 have?

I'm not sure on the LNB, I do know there are dual heads with one marked 110 and the other marked 119. I re-peaked the dish last night when I was on the roof and on sat 110, I have 70 for a signal strength.

To try and problem solve last night, I ran a single coaxial wire from the 110 side of the dish to the receiver in the house. Do I need to run a wire from each side (110 & 119) and attach them to the back of the receiver where it has sat diagrams that mean "Sat1" & "Sat2"? While reading online, I found this (which makes me wonder about two lines running into the box): "Use two coax cables from the outside to the satellite receiver location. use two coax cables to provide satellite signal to the dual tuners and use diplexers to piggy back the 2nd elevision signal on to one of the two coax cables"

You need to find out the type lnb. if it is DishPro (DP), then two lines would need to be run to feed each input on the receiver. If DishProPlus (DPP), one coax run and use of a DPP Separator can be used to split line behind receiver to feed both inputs. If you can view front of dish, you may be able to view what logo the lnb has.

thanks for the info. I think i remember seeing the dish pro logo on the lnb when i was up on the roof yesterday. I'll give it a shot tonight and see what happens!
