How can I use a switch to connect my DirecTV at 95W (Latin America) and G19 at 97W? The direcTV signal goes to the DTV Receiver and the 97W to my Nano2 receiver Receiver.

I was trying to use a loop through from the Nano to the DTV receiver so only one cable will go into the house. Is this possible?

I assume you have only one cable and you want to utilize it for both dishes and receivers? If that is the case, you can do it as follows:

DirecTV Dish
Port 1 (DS)
output ------Port 2 (DS)----- FTA Dish
FTA Receiver
Loopout
DTV Receiver

  • Using your FTA receiver, create one channel and call it DTV1
  • In the FTA receiver menu, make DTV1 satellite connected to Port 1 on DiSEqC SW
  • Make G19 connected to Port 2 DS
  • When you want to watch channels on your DTV receiver, just change the channel on your FTA receiver to DTV1. Then turn FTA receiver OFF (i.e. Standby).
  • Use your DirecTV receiver as usual.

I will try it and see. For now I route the DirecTV to my Living room and G19 to the master bedroom. I can also get DTV (95W) G19 (97W) off the same 6ft dish since DTV Latin America signal is very strong in SVG (Caribbean).
