Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to use a DiSEqC 2.0 2x1 switch with a DiSEqC 1.2 compliant receiver?

Thanks

They are suppose to be backward compatible. But they sometimes seem kinda fickle to me.

yes it will work

ANY diseqc switch will work with a receiver...whether it is 1.2 or not

1.2 means it can control a motor

Control a motor? Now that you mention it I do notice the Fortecs give you a choice using 1.2 or USALS. But I thought diseqc switches controlled the LNBs
and shouldn't be mounted between the receiver and motor. Now this seems StRaNge.

Diseqc switches do control the LNB...the motor is different

and yes you can put the switch between the receiver and the motor. I have it set up that way with my Pansat
port 1 goes to motor
port 2 is to a fixed dish at 123
ports 3 & 4 are going to 91 & 119 for audio

Saving receiver setup information?

Equity changes channels around (again)
