diseq

Is there a faq or diseq primer I could read to bone up on this? I understand how voltage and tone can switch a universal lnb, but do not understand diseq. Would also line to understand about the diferrent versions of diseq, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc. Are the higher ones backwards compatible with the lower ones?

Had a look in the faq area and did not see a diseq faq.
