I need to hook a 625 up in a room that doesn't have 2 lines coming in and I don't have a Dish Pro Plus switch. I know that it displays a warning that both tuners aren't active.

1. Refresh my memory. When does this warning show up
2. Is there a way to disable this warning?

It will show up when you turn on the second tuner. There is no way to disable it that I know of.

Why not run a second cable from your dish to the second tuner input? When you do you will be able to record while watching a different channel and use the PIP feature in single mode.

Although I highly recommend either a DPP switch or a second line, if you insist on keeping it installed this way NEVER run a check switch. If you do, it will probably not let you out until both inputs match properly. I do seem to remember that in older software versions of the 522/625, you could fool the system by connecting to port 2 first, run a check switch just long enough for it to finish scanning port 2, then doing a front panel reset before tuner 1 finishes counting to 38, then repeat the process for tuner 1. This used to work because the 522/625 would save the check switch results for each tuner seperately as they finished, so the failing tuner would not be saved. I have not seen this done, or tried it in at least 2 years so I have no clue if it still works with current software versions.
