DirTV dvr mobile scheduler in works for E*?

I was just talking to a friend with a feature DTV rolled out a month or so ago - logging in to the DTV site and you can schedule programs to record for your DVR over either a phone or pc on an internet connection.

Any word of Dish having something like this coming? There have been plenty of times where I thought I'd be home to watch something and then get held up - it would be awesome to be able to remotely start recording.

Dish had a beta a few months ago of web based DVR programming, and it was honestly god awful. It was slow and clunky and used a flash interface. From where I sit they needed to re do it from scratch as it was that bad.

Dish wants to do a mobile phone based solution like the one DirecTV has but thats still awhile away.

That sucks I've been really looking forward to that for a while now.
