Yawn. Big deal?
dragon002 said:i was talking about the whole release not just the dish.
dragon002 said:moq,
then you posted a lot of really dumb cr*p, like voom and dish channels
never gonna happen
and charlie can kiss our collective *sses, if this comes true, hes TOAST
Sorry but it doesnt change the fact that Charlie is deploying an mpeg4 HD DVR probably 6 to 9 months before D* will. Just means that when he flips the mpeg4 switch it wont be as big of a clusterf$ck as it will be for D*. He will have a huge lead.nickg420 said:How bout tell Charlie to come back when he's really using MPEG-4 compression and not tagging MPEG-2 with an MPEG-4 header and forcing customers to buy something they really don't need!!!
nickg420 said:I'm sorry but HD-Lite looks no different to me.....
Ken H said:No, it looks great, but I only watch HD (no upconverts) and I don't watch it on D*.
nickg420 said:Tell Charlie having 25 channels of HD SH*T does noone any good.

I'm missing the point with this one........so someone who is a big supporter of D* doesn't watch D* HD anymore......I still say if noone knew the resolution noone would have ever said two words about the quality but when every other post is about V*s HD-Lite and D* being commited to HD-Lite it's like a Bad Placebo or maybe Domino Effect would be a better word .....and now everyone has bad PQ issues.vurbano said:Amazing. Even Ken H. at AVS forum, one of the biggest D* supporters Ive seen in the years Ive had HD has admitted he doesnt even watch HD on D* anymore.
vurbano said:Id suggest a new prescription,a bigger set, or a calibration if you want to see the difference.
vurbano said:So I guess you are saying that your taste is as bad as your eyesight?
I think dragon has been standing outside too long in his DTV cheerleading jumps, cheer shoes, pom poms, and DTV cheer beanie...gotta keep that mind filled with blind DTV propaganda from freezing. Considering this is coming from a HDTV-less individual, with no desire to obtain HDTV, then take it for what it's worth....zippo, nadda, nil. Until DirecTV starts delivering on their promises, they will remain a 5th rate HDTV provider at best: DishHD, FiOS TV, Cable, IPTV,,,,,,,,, DirecTV HD (pathetic).vurbano said:really? got a source? Theyve announced all of this sh*t yet nothing on improving PQ. But go right ahead and sign up for 2 more years.

Added some companions for all the other blind DTV HD cheerleaders. Until D* something to improve quality and quantity, the DTV HD cheerleaders should drop the pom poms and quietly go about their business. As vurbano has so accurately pointed out, there has been little to cheer about the past couple years if you've had D* HD.
dragon002 said:so you are ranking dish as the primo provider of HD???
why, because he saved the sorry ass endless loop known as voom??
get real.
vurbano said:Ive finally figured it out! You have a D* tatoo dont you???
dragon002 said:vurbano,
read the chart, it is an estimation of dish's capacity, nothing more.
at this time it is showing dish as having almost 50, where are they??
go ahead vurbano, call up dish and tell them you want to subscribe and you want 50 channels of true hd, and you want it NOW.
put up or get to steppin'.
dragon002 said:he did say desireable, so subtract voom.
vurbano said:Since when is ST a national HD channel? Dont blame voom because you have no taste. I see when youve lost the arguement you start attacking anything you can find.
dragon002 said:vurbano, i didnt lose the argument. people pay more for doom, gloom,,,,oh yeah voom, it is hd . people pay for the st, as of this year it is available in hd NATIONALLY. your point.???.
vurbano said:Once again, since your having a problem with it, ST is not a National Channel. Its a group of regional Hd channels sold as a sports package.A sports subscription that lights up for 8 hours, one day of the week is NOT a NATIONAL channel. Face it, your arguement is sinking fast. Any more straws to grab at? Youve already sunk to attempting to trash the Voom channels and trying to equate ST to a national channel, the next one outta be a real doozie
dragon002 said:....attempting to trash the voom channels????????????? hell been there done that ,to death. they are an endless loop of the same old, same old. it is watching HD just to say you are watching HD.
that is MHO , i do believe that im allowed one.
ST is broadcast nationally, it is a national channel. by your argument espn is not national. neither is center ice , MLB, NBA or the NCAA. by that logic i COULD include cnn, msnbc, headline news, fox news etc.
try that on someone else.
