Found something interesting in that analysis, what I assume is the i24 stream test channel (*DTV/9813) has no Notes0, and says "<<Parsing of the object aborted!>>" for its Notes1. Seems like that's from the equipment you guys are using to generate the analyses rather than some kind of mess-up made on DirecTV's end. Just thought I'd mention it as I've never seen that before on any other analysis I've looked at.

Just so I'm keeping all this straight (from previous posts back in Sept) - so i24 will switch from being delivered from a 3rd party server, to delivery directly from DTV servers, correct? Which means it will then be removed from all non-Genie receiver guides?
And it's being added to DTV stream as well?

The thing is, is it worth it for them to strike a deal? Most locally owned bars and national chains will be closed on Christmas, so it will mostly be a Casino/Sportsbook and airport bar only thing. The major sportsbooks likely already support EverPass's UPshow for Peacock Sports Pass. The hotel chains that have in room streaming usually have you login to your own account and then automatically wipe your login data after you checkout.

And the 2 games themselves are charged as a PPV only to casinos and sportsbooks (cost possibly in the thousands or tens of thousands per casino) that already subscribed to Peacock Sports Pass, while the games are complimentary to all other Everpass business accounts

Even fans of those teams in the team's city are unlikely to visit a sports bar if one was open. I sure wouldn't consider it worthwhile to open if Iowa was playing on Christmas Day, even if it was a CFP game. Directv/Everpass/Netflix knew what they were doing by not bothering with it. Even if you could schedule a staff paying all the overtime and probably offering bribes beyond that to get people to work it is hard to imagine you could get enough business to make it remotely worth the hassle.

Around here there are always a couple bars (smaller dive/townie type places) that advertise being open on Christmas and I think it is mostly because they only need a staff of one or two and the owner/manager lives in town and have nothing better to do, and maybe get another employee or two to volunteer to help out for similar reasons.

I remember going out Christmas night once or twice when I was college aged (and wasn't out of town for the holiday) because a now defunct townie bar was sort of the unofficial "high school reunion / get away from the family" destination Christmas night. I think they'd open at 7, the owner and his two daughters were behind the bar so it was probably sort of a family tradition for them.

I can't imagine how you'd schedule staff at a big sports bar on Christmas Day. Are you really going to be the Scrooge who tells them if they don't work that day they'll be fired? You try that and you're gonna get ghosts visiting you at midnight!
