Hello Everyone,

Our company now sells DirecTV and only have done a hand full of installs all with wonderful results. Yesterday we did an install and we can't get any of the local channels for the customer. All sats have great signal. We are using a Slimline Dish and a SWM LNB. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What sat does your locals come in on. You may need a SWM5 LNB if they come in on the 119.

If that is not the case and all signal strengths are fine, then it sounds like you need to get on the phone with D* and have them resend authorizations to the receivers.
Often they need to pull them off the account and put them back on and then youmay have to do a red button reset.

First off, to Satelliteguys!

Which locals are you having a problem with, hd or sd? Like kjlued said, you may need a 5 lnb to get the sd locals. What are the signal levels on all of the satellites? Is the receiver set to "show all channels"?
