Directv removes WUNK-TV from 72.5 sat

Directv removed WUNK ch 25 from the 72.5 sat, WUNK is UNC TV(pbs) it is a state wide channel, UNC has about 10 different transmitters across NC and WUNK 25 was the one for the Greenville Washington New Bern NC local market, they are now using WUNC TV from Raliegh NC, this channel is on the main 101w sat.

We still get NBC, CBS, ABC, UPN, FOX from 72.5 and WB from 101w

is this a PBS that is the same across the whole state? If so, maybe Direct got an agreement to carry just the main station (which saves bandwidth)

Yes, I was wondering when we got locals why they didnt use the Raleigh Feed.

They have a microwave system across the state for the feed all originating out of Chapel Hill. All the stations around the state just retransmit the WUNC Channel 4 feed.

And if you want to see an incredible site, have someone take you up to their Grandmother Mountain Facility (Linville) where the view is absolutely incredible off the top of the mountain (of course, you need a 4 wheel to get up the rocks to facility). Just watch out for the Rattlesnakes and Bears.
