I am new to this site. Hope someone can help.

Quick question, I recently moved a DirecTV HD receiver from my living room to my bedroom. It replaces a non-HD Tivo that I had in the bedroom. When I installed it in my bedroom, the receiver displayed HD channels (ESPN, Discovery, HBO, etc.) fine. My problem is that I do not get my over the air HD channels at all. All I get is a error message "searching for signal". I thought that I had a bad cable. Replaced it, still nothing. I can't figure out what my problem is?

I moved the HD receiver upstairs because I got an HD Tivo for the living room. It works great. I get all my over the air HD channels fine (in the living room).

Thoughts???

What method / wiring do you use to get the OTA antenna to the outlets? AND are all the outlets wired to the OTA antenna?

Thanks so much for the reply. I just realized that the OTA is running directly from the dish to my living room Tivo. Is it possible to split that line inorder to send to my upstairs TV?

Rain fade and using an old P* dish.
