Neat! We just swapped back to D* from DISH but the HD channel difference wasn't a deal breaker for us. The additional HD will be nice though and I'm actually intrigued by Cooking HD.

I was on the "Other" satellite site.

They have posted information on 8 new HD channels in Testing.

All are not scheduled to go live at the same time, but in 2 or more roll outs. Likely with some new HD New week at the latest.

My wife loves ID Discovery, so she will like that one. I like IFC but can't stand the low quality SD picture, great ad for me. Neither my wife or I can stand the "Wife abuse channel" LMN. HLN will be nice, but Nancy Grace (Can't stand her) will look even worse in HD. I really like a bunch of the Science shows that appear on H2, so another solid ad for me. I also have Starz so the Encore Action channel will likely get my eye balls from time to time as well.

Glad to see DirecTV is finally catching up on Non-Premium HD channels.

I watch h2 which will be a nice addition. Rest are nice for those that watch them. More hd is always good.

With more programming being only on H2 (or weeks delayed on History) the possibility of H2 HD will be nice
When they did "How the states got their shapes" this season it was new on H2 and delayed a week or more on History....but I waited since H2 wasnt in HD

But D* is closing the gap on HD channels. These are on DIsh but not on D* (as of right now)...16 channels (cable channels....not HD only not movie channels)

well unless you can find a actual list alot of the lists out there can be debated. One that I show I guess would be this
77 for Dish 70 for Directv

That doesnt include any RSN with Directv (dish they are PT) and on Dish Big10 is in sports pack if not in a Big10 state (D* its included) yet its included. This number doesnt include the ones above
