Can a Directv LNB be used for linear satellites?
I have one mounted on a 32" dish,but havn't seen a FSS yet.
How about Dishes LNB? Or they Circular Only?
With a 20" dish and a Linear LNBF you will get a few of the VERY strong signals, as soon as it clouds over or rains it will be gone. You NEED at least a 30" dish for linear Ku signals!
The smaller dishes also don't have that narrow of a beamwidth. This makes it a lot easier for satellites in adjacent slots to interfere with your desired signal. This is why DBS sats have 9 degree separation and Ku FTA sats go as low as 2 degree separation.
