As of September 20, 2016, the standalone DIRECTV Kids App will be discontinued and removed from the iOS App Store. DIRECTV Kids App was only available on the iOS platform.
If a customer inquires about the availability of the DIRECTV Kids App, please direct them to the DIRECTV App and explain that they can still access and enjoy all of the same great content via the DIRECTV App. With the DIRECTV App, customers can enjoy the same content that was previously available through the Kids App with the safety of Parental Controls for a safe, child-friendly viewing experience. Additionally, those customers who have a broadband-connected HR44 or higher can live-stream kid-friendly channels from their programming package, as well as any recorded content from their Genie. The DIRECTV App can be downloaded from the customer’s respective mobile phone app store.
In addition, customers with a broadband-connected HD-DVR can also access the DIRECTV Kids channel available on channel 1111, which also offers age-appropriate, on demand programming
