I am having a problem with the picture pixellating or whatever you might call it in HD where i get a short freeze frame/blur/sound cutout. Of course when it rains, this is almost unbearable, but lately it has become quite frequent with no rain at all. It seems to be the worst on ESPN2HD. I watched a few hours of ESPNHD earlier today with no problem, then switched to ESPN2HD at experienced the problem frequently. Could this be due to the two coming from different satellites? Any ideas on what I can do? I had DirecTV technical support at my house earlier today, but they said they couldn't find anything wrong. I appreciate any help.

This probably will not help but I think channel 72 and 73 both come from the 119

Post your signal strength numbers from 99, 103, 110, and 119.

Here are the signal strengths. Thanks.

I think the guy said he re peaked the dish. Any ideas? Do any of the signal strength numbers look out of the ordinary? Thanks.

Line of sight is clear. Can anyone provide any insight on the signal strength numbers?

I know in other threads a lot of people are have the same issues. search the threads, you may find your answers there

Looks OK, not spectacular but ss probably not your issue. Are those the numbers when channels are experiencing pixilation?

Yes, I was experiencing the problems when I took down those numbers.

Yeah, I thought I had pinpointed the problem to ESPN2HD, then Sunday I was having the same problem on ESPN when watching NFL pregame.

Now its raining and I have 0s across the board. I have had DirecTV for about 6 months and can't wait for my contract to expire.

Just as a follow up to this for anyone experiencing similar problems, I got a new HR-100S from DirecTv Friday and have been running it since with no problems. Not sure if my HR-700 was the problem or not, but for now this is a big improvement. Now I just have to try to get out of the worthless $70 service call...
