DirecTV error 771 on my FTA

I was watching the NBC news on Virgin Islands feed when suddenly was looking at a DTV error screen code 771. So that's how they get the signal

I saw that too although it was many years ago. They may use the network feeds but when they switch over to WNBC, like for the newscast, the audio drops quite a bit so I think that’s when they use DirecTV.
This TV also picks it up from a station on the little dish. I saw their call sign once but now they cover it with a big box that covers the original station information. If you ever notice it stays on the screen for 20-30 seconds.
