Directv DVR

I currently have Tivo and I was thinking of switching to the Directv DVR...So if I go to the Retail stores and purchase it. Can I hook it up myself. What is involved in the hook up and adjustment.

Is is as easy as swapping the tivo, plugging in the DVR and letting Directv know I have a new box.

Are there adjustments that I may have to make. I just don't want to have installers, if its something I can do myself and is easy to do.

It installs just like a DTiVo, except you don't need a phone line to the box.
Otherwise the R15 was just like installing my two DSR-704s.

I would not do it unless you are huge on interactive features. I prefer my HR10-250 to the R15

Two work completely you will need two input cables from the dish going the the Directv DVR. In system setup set it up for the type of dish you have, 2LBN or 3LBN, and other info it will ask you then connect a phone line to it and call Directv to activate it.
