DirecTV DVR R10 Problem....

When powered up, this receiver stays on the "Welcome, Powering Up...." screen and won't go any further. Is there a way to get it going or is it toast? ...Thanks, all!

I'm assuming you have unplugged it, waited a minute and plugged it back in several times by now

Software update or up arrow reformat would by first thought also, but he's got a R-10 Tivo. I don't know of a way to do anything with a tivo until it boots up.

I have seen this a few times back in the day, and never found a way around it.
