I have been "fortunate: to acquire 2 DirecTV HD satellitte dishes w/ LNBs. The LNBs are different
One is a SL3SWMPR1-WNC - It has one output. The other LNB is SL3PIG-WNC & it has 4 outputs.
My question is, are the dishes the same? Can one of the LNBs be used on either dish?? Both
dishes seem to be a good shape. The dishes look identical but looks can be deceiving!
Also, do either one of these LNBs require a power inserter? Thanks!!

The dishes are the same, but the end of the arm where the lnb attaches may be slightly different. One can be altered if necessary. The swm lnb, the one with one output, requires a power inserter. Either a 21 or 29 volt model will work.

The LNB with one output is SWM and needs a Power supply PI-21 or PI-29 to work -it will allow one wire connection (example) to a 2 tuner DVR instead of 2 Rg6 - The other LNB is a Legacy - It requires 2 wires from it to any HRX (dvr) or additional (4) RG6 to be connected to a Switch to add additional receivers.

To aim the LNB with one output you will need to supply power to it to see any Sats information on your meter- The legacy (4) outs Will not require power to see the sat signal.

The dish's you have should be slim line and both should work either way.
