directv discounts?

I am going to start working at wal mart within a couple weeks. Does DirecTV offer discounts or wal mart employees or doesn't directv do discounts like that?

I don't think D* themselves have any walmart specific discounts, but, perhaps walmart themselves do, ask your boss, they often have employee discounts (probably not activated until a probationary period, if any, is over) for in-store purchases, perhaps it applies to the D* equipment as well.

i was just curious because I know best buy had discounts on not only merchandise purchased there, but also discounts on services such as cable television,internet, cell phones and probably even directv. So I figured if best buy had it, why wouldn't the nation's largest retailer have it as well?

You could be right, but, it would probably be on a store to store basis, in which case your boss would be where to get the most accurate information from, if you do find you get a programming discount, let us (the forums) know.
