DirecTV Inc. will present two awards throughout the 2006 National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing Nextel Cup season.
The auto-racing circuit’s official satellite-television provider will name a "NASCAR DirecTV Crew Chief of the Race" after each Nextel Cup race, and it will crown a "NASCAR DirecTV Crew Chief of the Year," who will be honored during NASCAR Champions Week in New York following the season.
Each winning crew chief will be honored with a $5,600 cash award that will be presented during prerace ceremonies at the following race. And a $102,400 cash award will be presented to the Crew Chief of the Year winner.
