The rumored date of the new package is 8/28. The DirecTV web site is now down for "updates". Check in tomorrow to see if the new package is available and what it actually consists of.

This may help calm some of us who "almost" got VOD. Still looking forward to channel 1000, but this may help pass the time tomorrow.

For D* fans, this is a great time. VOD, All-Access and a new HD lineup all within the next 30 days.

I was looking at upgrading my package to premiere but with the dvrs and hd it would cost me a lot more than my current dvr hd package.

Lets hope this one come true. :)

For those that don't know, the rumor is that All-Access will be:

Premier pack w/ HD, DVR, and waived receiver fees for $119.99/mo.

That would mean a cost savings for anyone with Premier/HD/DVR and 3 or more receivers :)

Don't see why not, the thought it that it will become a regular programming package.

I personally don't think we'll see anything like this until March when the pricing changes for 2008. Then we may see a whole new slew of packages like we did this spring.

Many others think it may happen this week.

Been a whole lot of talk about this one and some seem to believe very strongly that it is or was coming out(yesterday).
While i think it probably will, like a poster said above march is probably a more realistic guess. Now watch it come out today and ill have to eat my words

Its too bad its is not out now as I would probably upgrade to it (which would make DirecTV more money)

Instead I will sit with the lesser priced package and wait. :)

Yeah if it is what it is rumored to be im sure alot of people would upgrade to it in a hearbeat!

Is there really a savings/benefit if I only have 2 HR20's? Or is it a wash? Is doesn't include any additional premium packages, does it? I already have HBO and SportsPack, so no Showtime/Starz/Encore, right?

Appears it was a conicidence that the D* website was down the night before the release date of the rumored package was leaked. As rumors go....this one didn't happen (at least for now).

Compared to premier the rumored all access would be a loss on one receiver, break even on two, and a win (cost-savings) on 3 or more.
