Direct TV programming

Hey guys,

Its been a very long time since I last had Satelitte in my house. Before we used to have Direct TV where we were subscribed to watchsatellite.tv and programmed out own cards. Now a guess it's been a while since that hasn't worked, and my mom just purchased a P5 card not too long ago. But I have no idea whats going on now. Is there still illegal satellite available. What are most people doing now.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could give me the overall "jist" of whats happening with the Direct TV satellite systems.
