I have a 3LNB direct tv dish.
located at alpena, mich.
all national stations and HBO are rec'd.
I subscribe to local stations. I can only watch them from 9pm to 6am.
the dish points out over open water for 5 miles.
the signals are betwn. 78 to 91 across the transponders.
have tried to fine tuned it.
is there certain transponders for local stations/sat?
is there differences betwn. 3 LNB dishes?
the same dish works good at holly, mich which is 230 miles south of alpena.

if you are saying you are trying to pick up your local affiliates some 230 miles away from your normal location, and all your other subscribed chnls are coming in, then you are very likey outside your local spot beam.

Alpena market only has one local, CBS. It is not a local market serviced by D* or E*.

If you give them your alpena address, you should get DNS for all networks but CBS. They will expect you to get CBS from antenna.

Sounds like you may be trying to get the Flint DMA stations using the holly address? If that is the case, you are at the edge of the spotbeam, thus it will not work well.
