Direct tv and Best buy

I am thinking of switching from dish to direct and would like to do it through best buy to take advantage of the 250 dollars in gift cards I can get when buying a tv. Has anyone done this and did they get the gift cards. I have read on other places nightmare stories on trying to get the gift cards. Just wnated to know if anyone has had luck with this.
