Direct Newbie DVR Question

Just had my Direct install. So far so good. I went with the whole-home dvr option in which they gave me a HR24. I seem to be able to only record two channels at a time and I'm wondering if this is correct. I though from reading on various comparison posts between the Direct whole-home and the Dish's Hopper that I could record more channels then that at the same time. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Only with the OTA Module added or with the HR34 which has 5 tuners.

Even with the AM21 OTA module on the HR24, you can still only record two channels at the same time.

Thanks. I thought I was getting an HR 34 but I got a 24 instead. That explains why it was free.

Yep. You should have said you wanted the Home Media Center.

You have been a member here since 2005, why on earth didn't you check in here before you made the call to Directv?:doh:



I research both forums for quite a few months, just to make sure I got what I wanted and needed.

Directv was no help, they kept trying to convince me all I needed was one HR24 and 3 H25. Yea I don't think so.
So I could see Directv no knowing the difference.
