Dirctv Decoder Problems Help!

I've got a simple Diectv system that has worked great, but just began to present a problem I can't seem to resolve.

The tv picture is great, but when I use the on-screen displays like the menu guide, etc. the color has changed and has taken on an odd look making the menus almost impossible to read.

The original color was blue, but not its a fluttering pink.

I've gone in to the menus and have reset everything to the default level. Nothing changed.

I've reset the color of the menus, the translucency and no change.

Purchase the equipment protection plan and get it repaired or replaced. Sounds like a bad receiver.

Do you happen to know how much that plan is, or is it cheaper just to buy a decoder box/

If you're just looking for a basic receiver you can buy them pretty cheap on ebay.

Have you tried unplugging the AC cord to reset the receiver?
