What are the chances of getting this thing activated if I buy it?

I'm only interested in one channel, so knowing that limitation is it possible to get 4DTV service on it?

Unless your a cable company or know someone, I don't think you can get it activated for a subscription. If they do work with you for a commercial sub the cost for subscription would probably be very high. It will not receive the consumer data stream the 4DTV does, only the commercial one.
