Digital ID copy cat number

When I tried to rehit my Motorola 920 for digital - never been on before - they are say my Digital ID is a copy cat number and will not work. HUH!
Being a developer in the software world for sometime I know things are possible but if this is true And most important

(DecoderID: 0000 0000 0000) Works fine has for years
Digital ID: 000000000000 copy cat number
Receiver Number 000-0000-00000-000

The zeros are the correct amount of #'s and letters.

Where did you get the 4dtv? who had it before may have attempted to illegally clone the receiver, there for having the same unit ID of another unit in use. Or it may be something else.

Mine is correct according to Motorola and they think it is because of the former owners subscription that is showing up causing the problems.

Oh ya forgot they could have been seeing the other owners address and info, and then when you gave them yours they thought something was wrong, did you mention it was used? anyway hope all is good now.
