Deleting a post

If you inadvertantly Double post and want to delete one, how do you do it.
I tried placing the radio button on Delete , but at the bottom right where it tells you to "delete this message" was not lit up so I could not delete my second post.

Iceberg,
I did hit "Edit" and was in what I thought was the correct mode.
Towards the bottom I saw a button that said "Detete this Message" , I clicked that radio button, then below that to the right the same thing was listed but not lit up where I could click on it.

Is this the correct way to do it ?
Just trying to learn.

PS. Iceberg, I just went into the menu to delete THIS message and see it is different than what I saw originally, so I may be on to something now. (No need to delete this post, I was just checking) unless you want to.

You can not delete the first post of a thread, but may delete any of your other posts in the thread.

That is probably what happened here.
