I recorded and watched Bourne on PPV HD Channel 135 (HR20) and was surprised that the program was only in DD 2 channel, or PCM. The banner showed DD so I assumed it was a 2 channel mix that was converted by my Lexicon sound processor to a logic 7 program.
Calling DTV I got the impression that all their stuff is PCM or 2 channel DD.
How can a buyer of PPV verify that a DD 5.1 program exists before buying. I really don't want to watch 2 channel stuff for new releases.
DTV will not refund your purchase if you decide you don't to watch their 2 channel version.
Also the aspect ratios of all their PPV's do not match the widescress versions of the DVD release. What the story on that?
I am really disappointed with DTV's PPV offering. I was hoping to almost eliminate my DVD purchases. I have hundreds collecting dust.
How can I determine the technical aspects of the movie relative to sound, and screen before buying?
Thanks
