DD 5.1 issues on Wally

For the past month or so, my Wally has only output 5.1 surround intermittently. Sometimes it is stereo only. I've tried different ports on my AVR and it's the same on all of them. The AVR detects the 5.1 on my other devices (Roku, blu ray etc). So I'm fairly certain it's the Wally. I've also tried toggling the Dolby Digital setting on and off in the Audio Output menu also.

My AVR shows the HDMI audio stream from the Wally as PCM

Any ideas? Is it time to ask for a replacement box?

First go to Menu, Settings, Audio Output and make sure you are set to Dolby Digital. If that is correct try changing your HDMI cable.

Somehow, it started working again today. It's off and on. Very bizarre. Makes me wonder if its related to SW updates..

If it were software updates we would hear a lot more about it because everyone gets those updates. You seem to be the only one with the issue, at least to this point.
