i need a tablet that i can put on my brother phone plan , can you tell the best way to search for a tablet that can do that
thanks

Not for just 5g but LTE as well, the best place to start is the wireless stores.

Once you've found a suitable model, shop around for a better price (unless it needs to be leased).

whats about Spectrum service? my brother is changing his carriage
Spectrum Mobile (a division of Spectrum, the cable company) apparently uses Verizon as their wireless carrier. The suggestions would be the same as those that appear on the Verizon site but the leasing plans may be different (if available).

i keep this from my brother "That answer has nothing to do with our situation.

We need to buy one that can work for the Verizon network (meaning it
takes same kind of SIM card Verizon ones do), but not one FROM Verizon.
Because that will require a contract. Verizon doesn't sell a device
without a contract.

Spectrum uses the Verizon network but they can't use a device that is
locked to Verizon. It has to be an unlocked device. One that isn't
locked to any carrier's network. Because Spectrum needs to install their
own SIM card in it to connect to their signal. Putting their sim card
into a Verizon locked tablet won't get a signal. Even if it's locked to
Verizon. It has to be unlocked for the Spectrum SIM card to work.

Think of it like AT&T and DirecTV. They are owned by the same company.
But AT&T Uverse TV won't work with a DiecTV cable box."

Wireless capable tablets are fairly broadly represented on the Verizon store page. I didn't say you had to acquire a tablet through Verizon, just that you would find examples there and that answer your initial question (with or without the special conditions you've subsequently added).

For their part, Spectrum offers only iPads on their shopping page but they offer leasing as well as BYOD.
