I have two concerns about the sports package before I make the switch. The $12 covers non blacked out programs on all RSNs, but do you still get the games on your local RSN? Probably so, but wanted to be sure they won't try to pull the ole you have to be in the top tier to that. Secondly, I saw where CSTV is on the HD to do list, can I expect to get whatever HD comes with that. Again, it was on the "everything" pack which includes the sports package, but nothing specifically said pay $10 for HD and $12 for Sports Pack and get the HD as it comes available.

I'll probably put E* on hold and switch until one emerges as the leader, but I'm concerned I couldn't find a phone number for D* and for the "save $500" promotion, do you have to agree to a certain number of months? Answer me these questions three and E* will lose another subscribee due to PPV and not more national HD. Tee-hee.

Yes, you should see any games on the RSN(s) D* considers your locals. Personally, I can see games on FSN Midwest, CSN Chicago (HD) and CSN Cincinnati without the sports pack.

The $9.99 fee gives you the HD equivalent of anything that you get as part of your base and/or add-on packages. Not to say that couldn't change in the future, but as of now....

Sorry, I'm not familiar with the "Save $500 promo" you mentioned...

Thanks for your response. And in order to ce the various RSN's you have to pay $12 for the sports pack? The "save 500" is for the four months of the premier package at the price of NFL sunday ticket. It's $80 + hd access and then goes to $100, I'm debating the switch, 100 and 10 for hd and 5 for each leased receiver, but giving up the sd dvr.

Yes, to get the RSN's you need the sports pack, although if you get a sports subscription you get the benefit of the RSN's for the games without having to subscribe to the package just for the local "sports desk" shows, etc.

And yes, there is a 2 year commitment for any advanced services, which would include the HD/DVR you'd be getting and you would have to agree to that to get the ST deal, I believe, unless you're going all SD with no DVR, in which case you might get by with 12 months - although there are rumors that's changing to 18.
