625,Vip 622,Vip 722,Vip 722k . 2 rooms of DVR serviceActually it would be $5, not $12 more for the same dual tuner dvr receiver, namely a 612 or 512. $12 more would get you a superior 2 tv dual tuner receiver with DVR service to both televisions. DirecTV would now be guilty of comparing apples to oranges.
So round and round it goes and who wins the argument? Dish lawyers or DirecTV marketing?
What is becoming clear is Charlie and Dish Network are prepared to go heads-up with DirecTV in the marketing war. That to me is the interesting thing to watch.
$17*
Vip 222, 322 2 rooms of service
$14*
Vip 612, 512 1 room of DVR service
$10*
Vip 211,311/301 1 room of service
$7*
The 922 is Rumored to Carry a $20 Fee after the first.
*Per month Extra if you have the same 2 types of receivers. The Charge is on the 2nd of these models receivers only Not the First.
Now it gets a little tricky!
Say you have a Vip 722 and a 622 on your account.
Your going to Pay $17 for the 622 Plus $6 DVR fee Total $23
Now say you have a 722 and a 211,
Your only paying $7 for the 211.
Plus $6 DVR fee Total $13
Say you have a 722 and 2 612.
Then your going to pay $10 for Each 612, So thats $20 in fees on a 4 room system .Plus a $6 DVR fee. Total $26
Directv on a 4 room DVR system is Still $22 per month. So $4 Cheaper goes to D*
Bottom Line if you have 2 Receivers, What ever receiver has the cheapest fee, is the receiver that you'll get charged the addtional fee on.
