Will the remote control rc64 work with a r-10 dvr

Yes, the tivo codes 01442, 01142. There won't be any commands mapped to the power keys, so if your R10 is in standby, pressing Menu or Guide key will awaken it.

No, you're stuck with whatevers mapped. Using code 01142, there won't even be list command. The only other differences between the tivo codes, is one has the clear command on the EXIT key, and the other has the exit command on the Exit key.
