I was just given a D* DVR with Tivo and would like to have it run with two lines. I'm currently running one room standard D* system (8-9 years old). I have one line coming into the house from the dish. Is there anyway to know if I have a dual LNB? Should I have two coax available on the dish?

Welcome to SatelliteGuys! First off look at the dish and see if you have the standard 18 inch round dish or the oval 24 inch triple LNB dish. The triple LNB dish will have what looks like 3 heads on it while the 18 inch will only have one. If you have the triple LNB dish chances are if it was installed within the past 2 years or so you will have a capability of 4 lines. If you have the 18 inch round dish very carefully remove the LNB from the end of the arm and you should see either one or two rf type connections. If you have two then it is a dual LNB.

But even with the 3 heads, you still have to run another CoAx line right?
