CW Affiliation changes in Norfolk and other cities

Im sure this has been mentioned before but CW changed in a few markets

here is use to be 27 but now its part of Nexstar Wavy/WVBT

27 is now an independent scrips station, but not seeing CW on DirecTV.

i saw fios added another channel , does anyone know if DirecTV has plans to re add CW in these markets?

The new CW subchannels for Norfolk, Utica, Wichita Falls, Santa Barbara and Terre Haute weren't in test mode as of Wednesday.

D* already knows about the changes. Looking at the app's API, the labels for the ex-CW affiliates changed to "IND", and they changed to "CW" for the new affiliates, while the ex-CW subchannels were dropped:
Chicago:
WGN/9: IND -> CW
WCIU/26: CW -> IND

Corpus Christi:
KRIS-D2/14: CW -> No longer listed at all
KSCC-D2/21: MNT -> CW/MNT

Detroit:
WMYD/20: CW -> IND
WKBD/50: IND -> CW

Miami:
WBFS/33: IND -> CW
WSFL/39: CW -> IND

Norfolk:
WGNTHD/27: CW -> IND

Santa Barbara:
KSBY-D2/7: CW -> No longer listed at all

Tucson:
KTTU/18: MNT -> CW
KWBA/58: CW -> IND

Utica:
WKTV-D3/3: CW -> No longer listed at all

Wichita Falls:
KAUZ-D2/5: CW -> No longer listed at all


It's also not a coincidence that all of these ex-CW stations weren't included in the CW stations that were added to DTV Stream over the past year, while a stream for Tegna's KTTU started testing last week.

EDIT: We did a new grab this afternoon, still no sign of the replacement affiliates for Norfolk, Utica, Santa Barbara, Wichita Falls or Terre Haute.

I don't watch CW all that much, so I guess when I do, it must be off the OTA antenna ....

Even if DIRECTV adds it, you'll probably want to use an antenna anyway. Most of the CW and MyNet subchannels are only carried in SD.

OTA support was added to the HS17 in the latest firmware update. It even works with an AM21.

I know the AM21's went Way up in price awhile back.
