Finally registered after "lurking" for a few years. Have been a DTV customer since 1996, with East & West Distant Networks "grandfathered" since back then. I recently called customer service two different times to see if the CW East/West feeds could be added to my distants. The first CSR didn't have a clue and said he would check on it. No response. The 2nd CSR said I would have to go through the waiver precess for CW and she would request it. Still no response after 3 weeks.

We do have a CW channel in my area (Colorado Springs) but it is a low power SD only station. (I'm a HD customer).

Has anyone else tried to add the CW distants to their existing Distant Networks? Any help would be appreciated.

I don't believe DirecTV has the DNS HD version for The CW. And if they did, you'd only get the west coast one. And with The CW available OTA in your area, the odds are slim for getting a waiver.

Do you get any locals from DirecTV?

Yes, I do get the locals via DTV but the CW station is SD only. If the CW East/West feeds are also SD, I guess I'm out of luck unless one of them starts braodcasting in HD.

We've got grandfathered DNS too (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX), but were also told we had to have waivers to get CW E/W. Waivers were, of course, denied. That was the end of it as far as DirecTV is concerned. We do get local CW via DirecTV but couldn't/can't get it OTA (too far away from towers).
